OVERVIEW:
Ride the Golden Triangle Trail System. 339km (220 miles) over two days. Riders are expected to ride both days.
Members of the Whitecourt Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will guide riders along the 339km Golden Triangle Trail System. Day 1 will be from Whitecourt to Swan Hills and Swan Hills to Fox Creek. Day 2 will be from Fox Creek back to Whitecourt. You will ride on groomed trails through the boreal forest of West Central Alberta.
This is an intermediate to advanced ride. Please ensure your snowmobile is in good running order. You will be riding through isolated areas.

Riders will arrive in Fox Creek at the end of Day 1 where snowmobiles will be stored in a locked compound. After dinner and refreshments a chartered bus(es) will transport riders back to Whitecourt. Day 2 will begin with a bus ride to Fox Creek followed by the snowmobile ride back into Whitecourt to complete the Golden Triangle.
REGISTRATION DETAILS:
The $30 fee will be payable at the WELCOME CENTRE on Day 1 (Wednesday) prior to starting the ride. You must pre-register online on or before Sunday, February 8, 2015 to help facilitate the planning. We will require numbers for food, chartered bus service and snowmobile storage. Registration check-in will be available from 7:30am to 8:30am at the WELCOME CENTRE on Wednesday morning.

FREE PARKING AT ROTARY PARK. Follow the signs to the WELCOME CENTRE/ROTARY PARK and volunteers will direct you. There is lots of room for vehicles and large trailers. OVERVIEW:
Frozen Memories will set up their little chipper stations where you can create your own sculpture from a block of ice. Chisels, gloves and goggles will be supplied for you to use. This event takes place outdoors in a tent that is minimally heated so please dress warmly.

OVERVIEW:
The Alberta Snowmobile Association (ASA) is hosting the World Snowmobile Parade where organizers plan to set a new WORLD RECORD for the largest number of snowmobiles riding in a parade. The current World Record, as recorded by Guiness Book of World Records is 847 snowmobiles.
Don't miss the opportunity to participate in this one of a kind event. Antique sleds (that run) are welcome and encouraged.

REGISTRATION DETAILS:
All participant registration will take place outside at the WELCOME CENTRE from 5pm - 7pm. Ride your snowmobile towards the WELCOME CENTRE and volunteers will direct you into a staging lane. Stay on your snowmobile and registration officials will come to you to complete your registration. Once you have received your participant number you can leave your snowmobile and head into the WELCOME CENTRE for a pre-parade social. There will also be a post-parade celebration following the 1 hour parade back at the WELCOME CENTRE.

ROUTE:

Available for purchase. Pizza, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and pop available during registration prior to the parade from 5pm to 7pm and following the parade. Liquor service will be available after the parade from 8:30pm to 10:30pm.

OVERVIEW:
Ride to the Silver Summit Ski Hill and back to Whitecourt. A 178km scenic ride in one day.
Members of the Whitecourt Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will guide riders along the 178km round trip trail ride to the Silver Summit Ski Hill for lunch at the Ski Chalet and back to Whitecourt. You will ride on groomed trails through the large foothill valleys. The Silver Summit Trail System links the communities of Whitecourt and Edson.

Riders can pick either of the routes on either day. It is suggested to do one route the first day and the other route the second day if you are riding both days. At each checkpoint, riders will have their World Snowmobile Invasion Passport stamped and can sample the free food and drinks from that country.

This is an 18+ event. No minors allowed. Must be able to provide ID.
TRANSPORTATION:
FREE PEMBINA PIPELINE SHUTTLE SERVICE. Pick-ups and drop-offs at various WSI shuttle stops at hotels and businesses in Whitecourt. Download the Venue/Shuttle/Parking Map for shuttle times and stops.
PARKING:
LIMITED PARKING. There is minimal parking available at the Allan & Jean Millar Centre. There is no trailer parking at the Allan & Jean Millar Centre. Overflow parking will be available at the Scott Safety Arena but is also limited. Please make use of the free shuttle service to reduce parking congestion.
FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE:
FOOD SALES: International food will be available at each country's booth - Canada, USA, Finland, Sweden, Japan & Norway (similar to the Taste of Edmonton) - $5/food ticket.
ALCOHOL SALES: Alcohol from around the world will be available - $4/drink. Must be 18 years or older (ID required).
MERCHANDISE:
World Snowmobile Invasion, Alan Doyle, Arrival and Dreams merchandise will be available for purchase.
